I love so many independent businesses within own my local community. And these businesses have a unique way of interacting with people that’s personal. The ones I love work hard to create, maintain and grow a community in person.
That’s why I’ve focused a whole section of my social media & digital marketing services towards independent local businesses as it’s something I’m passionate about. These range from services for businesses just starting out or who don’t know too much about social media & digital marketing, but want to get established online. To more well-known businesses that need ongoing or one-off support, or are looking to grow and want to ramp up their online channels and activity.

DEEP DIVE
With all businesses I work with, I make it a priority to get to know your business first: who you are, what you do and why you do it. I prefer doing this in person through a meet & greet (usually over coffee) to get to know you and your team, but can do this over video call if you would prefer. My journalism interviewing skills come in handy for this stage. But don't worry, I just want to get the full lowdown from you upfront.

AUDIT & RECOMMENDTIONS
From there, my approach is to research and recommend the most suitable way for business to grow online organically, whatever stage of the journey they are at. Using tried and tested methods, I’ll suggest options that are achievable and maintainable, with full visibility of budget recommendations and timelines.

ACTION PLAN & REGULAR CHECK-INS
This is the "getting stuck in" part - once a strategy, campaign or plan has been agreed between the client and myself, I'll get to work. Organic social content planners, photoshoot briefs, creating visuals, setting up advertising campaigns, website builds & copywriting. And to ensure everyone is kept in the loop about the latest, I'll set up regular video call or meeting check-ins.

REVIEW & RECOMMEND
I see this as a crucial part of the process - looking back at how content has performed, and not just the stats. Understanding the why something has done great (or not so well) and learning the best approach moving forward.
